Prince George and Princess Charlotte's Playground at Highgrove

Prince Charles has made a playground for his grandchildren

PRINCE Charles has turned part of his garden at Highgrove into a playground for his grandchildren with an £18,000 shepherd's hut and a rebuilt treehouse.

The 15 acres of ornate inter-connected organic gardens have been his passion, pride and joy since he began transforming them shortly after moving into Highgrove House, near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, in 1980.

But the arrival of Prince George just over two years ago, followed by Princess Charlotte in May, has brought new additions to the garden and given Charles the pleasure of seeing his grandson at play.

Vera Bradley Designs, Inc.In amongst the cottage gardens, ornamental walled kitchen garden, sundial garden and other horticultural delights, there was always space for his sons, Princes William and Harry, to learn to play and take risks climbing into the old treehouse, accessed via a rope and trapdoor.

Charlotte is too young to appreciate it all yet but George has also been introduced to the wooden shepherd's hut, a gift to Charles on his grandson's first birthday. Click link for full post from EXPRESS.
