For years now the British royal family has been trying to present itself as more down-to-earth than it was during the dramatic years before and immediately after the death of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s efforts to demonstrate that they are essentially normal have ranged from Kate’s dedication to ‘recycling’ outfits (wearing the same dresses and coats to multiple engagements) to the couple’s decision to send Prince George to a local Montessori school near their home in Norfolk.

Now it’s been revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—one of the most high-profile couples in the world—chose a local pub near their home of Amner Hall for a recent date night.    Click link for full post from Parade

PRINCE George is obsessed with aeroplanes and wants to become an RAF Air Cadet, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed today.

Kate, 34, was speaking as she took part in a service to mark the 75th anniversary of the cadets on her first engagement as their first female honorary commandant.

She told cadet Lucinda Conder, 19, that she had shown George, who is two and a half, pictures of Spitfires after a royal engagement.

"He is now obsessed with the air cadets and wants to join," said Ms Conder, a medical student from Hammersmith in west London, who was the top female cadet of 2015. "We are going to have to push that one when he gets to age 12."  Click link for full post from The Telegraph.

In a video message marking Children¹s Mental Health Week, Kate said she wanted to support schools to prioritise the emotional well being of their pupils, alongside academic success, and give them the tools to cope and thrive.

The Duchess, an advocate of early intervention to resolve childhood problems that often become much bigger ones in adulthood, recorded the message in her role as royal patron of the children’s mental health charity Place2Be.

It was released today as Place2Be - which trains teachers and works in more than 250 schools with vulnerable children - published a National Association of Head Teachers survey showing that two thirds of all primary schools in England do not have a counsellor.  Click link for full post from EXPRESS.

The Queen is presented with two teddy bears for Prince George and Princess Charlotte as she opens the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, just a few miles from Sandringham

The Queen was pleasantly surprised to receive two teddy bears created especially for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, saying the gesture was "very kind".

The Queen was presented with the gifts during her visit to The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, which recently opened its new £3.4 million facility based in the village of Hillington, a little over three miles from the Sandringham Estate where the Queen spends much of winter.

While there, she met patients and bereaved relatives including Jack Plummer, nine, from King's Lynn, whose mother Amee Walton died from a brain tumour aged 29 in 2013.

He presented the Queen with two teddy bears - one for Prince George and one for Princess Charlotte - on behalf of bereavement charity Nelson's Journey.  Click link for full post from The Telegraph.
